Homepage templates

The Homepage template is a company independent master that can be accessed by CODA-Portal administrators. In the Homepage template, the CODA-Portal administrator defines which content provider masters are available to this template and sets up the initial Homepage layout for this template.

CODA-Portal administrators can set up different Homepage templates for different types of users. For example, the Homepage template for company executives might provide browse access to restricted data and key performance indicators, whereas the Homepage template for data entry clerks might provide access to Input processes only.

The CODA-Portal administrator assigns a Homepage template to each e-Framework user. Within certain constraints, each e-Framework user can customise their own Homepage to arrange the content as best suits them. A user's customisation of their Homepage is saved in their Homepage definition.

If the CODA-Portal administrator makes any changes to a Homepage template that is assigned to users, the users' Homepage definitions may be affected. For further information, see the related topic 'Homepage definitions'.
